Football transfer, before or after Euro 2008 ? which one is better ?

Football transfer is like investment, high risk, high return. If we buy a player before Euro 2008, we bear a high risk because how about if the player performance is not good, the transfer price would decrease ( paid too high ). But if the player performance is fantastic, the investment would be payoff because the transfer price will be increase. So how about football transfer after Euro 2008 ?

If we buy players after Euro 2008, the price would be higher if the performance is good. But the at least we know that the player can compete with world class players. So should we do football transfer before or after Euro 08 ?

In my view, it depends on the nationality of the player. If the player is not from a big national team, we should buy him after the Euro 08. It is because even though the performance is good but the price would not increase significantly, because of the limited playing time.
